Great news!!!

Bill and I found out that we will be traveling to Ukraine in November!!! We are ecstatic!! We predicted correctly. Our registration number falls around the middle of the numbers for November, so we'll probably be going mid-month. We can't believe we are actually going soon! It's only about 12 weeks away!

We have lots to do before then! I've already been thinking about packing. We plan on packing as light as possible. I printed a packing list from our adoption group which is full of great ideas for packing light. We don't want to drag heavy luggage up 5 flights of stairs. I'll probably have our bags packed and ready to go in a month!

All of our paperwork is complete and updated. We received the final piece a couple of weeks ago. We had to reapply for our I600 application. This form is from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and allows you to bring your children back into the country. We submitted the application back in June and didn't expect to get until September or October. It's a relief to have gotten it earlier.

The next few months will be a whirlwind of activity as we prepare for the trip. I'm sure I'll be posting more often now since we are getting ready to end the journey here in the states and begin the journey in Ukraine.
